FAQ

Single Reverse vs. Single Sided vs. Double Sided

A lot of people ask us this, especially if they’re not used to printing on textiles!  Here’s the quick answer…  Because textiles are porous, on some fabric types the ink will actually bleed through and be visible from the backside.  However, the image is reversed on the back side.  This is what we call “single reverse”.  This is the standard for any type of flag print.  We do have some fabrics and non-textiles that aren’t intended for this type of use.  These usually go up against a wall, and can only be seen from one side.  This is what we mean by “single sided”.  And, no matter what the substrate, if we say it’s “double sided”, you’ll an image clearly on both the front and the back.

There is no exact answer. The U.S. Government generally expects a flag to last approximately 90 days based on daily usage from sunrise to sunset - but not during periods of inclement weather. Tests have shown that in some cases a flag flown 24 hours a day will last only one-fourth as long as one flown during daylight hours only. The major enemies of a flag are the wind and sun. Neither you nor we can control the weather, but you can take care of your flag and lengthen its life. #1 Occasional washing in warm mild detergent water will prevent dirt and pollutants from attacking the fabric. #2 Have your flag repaired at the first sign of fraying. Our flags are manufactured to give maximum service in return for reasonable care. No two flags wear the same. Because weather conditions vary, most flags flown 24 hours a day 7 days a week will need to be replaced two or three times a year. The best way to stretch your "flag dollars" is to have three flags: one flying, one in the wash, and a clean one in reserve for special occasions.
We can match Pantone Solid Coated colors. Using the Pantone system is the easiest and most reliable way for us to ensure color quality. If you want us to print a photograph, or other raster image, we cannot guarantee color accuracy.
It depends on our current volume and the quantity of items ordered, but it usually takes 3-5 business days for small orders and 5-7 business days for larger orders. For extra-large orders, production times may vary so please call and ask.
We do all digital printing, so regardless of the amount of colors or characters, we WILL NOT charge you extra. All prices reflect full color, custom printing.
